Nigeria population figures not accurate-UNFPA

The United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) Assistant Representative in Nigeria, Osaretin Adonri, has said the Nigerian population figures are speculative, projected and not accurate. The country is long overdue for a census, which would dismiss the catalogue of speculative population figures.  The 2006 population census conducted puts Nigeria’s population at 140,003,542 while the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) 2012 data estimated Nigeria’s population to be 166.2 million. “Nigeria needs a census for population accuracy and effective planning,” Adonri said.  According to the UNFPA 2019 State of the World Population report, Nigeria’s population has increased to 201 million, having grown at average rate of 2.6 per cent from 2010 to 2019. UBA set to boost SMEs with Google free Wi-Fi

Oil prices fall as U.S. crude output hits 12m bpd

-  U.S. commercial crude oil inventories rise by 3.7 million barrels to 454.5 million barrels Energy Information Administration (EIA). - U.S. crude oil production reached 12 million bpd for the first time last week. -   America is the only country to ever reach 12 million bpd of production.   -   U.S. output will rise further and oil firms will export more oil to sell off surplus stocks- Analysts. Fellaini claims he didn't leave Man Utd for the money

Fellaini is reported to have penned a lucrative contract in China, a matter of months on from agreeing to a new two-year deal at United, but he maintains finances have never influenced his thinking. Every decision one makes should not be influenced by money. The Belgian midfielder says he has headed to China for a new challenge and the desire to make fresh start. ELECTION 2019: Voters not getting money from vote transactions

Pulse.ng This election seem to be different in a kind of way as some voters are grumbling because money has not been exchanging hands as usual. Could this be a kudos to the recession and an anti-corruption drive?  There seem to be less money for palm-greasing this time around. Petrol pump price reduced

This is a good move from Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), as it directed its members nationwide to reduce petroleum pump price from N145 per litre to N140.  - the decision followed the Saturday’s last-minute postponement of presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). - it is to motivate Nigerians who had earlier travelled to different places across the country to cast their votes, but to their disappointment, the election was shifted; to return to vote again on Feb. 23. -the price was slashed by N5. -from the N145 per litre to N140 per litre.e Read more:  Oil marketers reduce fuel pump price
